Dandelion - Improves blood picture

Dandelions leaves, roots and stems have the high healing power, and those who have the ability to collect a clean and healthy plants should know the time when they are collected. Leaves are collected before flowering, and dandelion blooms from March to May, the root is taken in the spring and fall, and the stems while they bloom. A special care should be taken during the removal of roots, the root shouldn't get cut so the juice don't run out. Extracted roots should be dried for two or three days in the sun. Otherwise, dandelion grows practically everywhere in meadows, pastures, abandoned fields, the roads and settlements ...

This plant is very healthful because of the abundance of zinc, flavonoids, B vitamins, sterols, tannins and potassium. The leaves are full of vitamin C and iron. In the treatment it  is used in a variety of forms, such as the tea, juice, syrup, and of leaves you can make a very delicious and healthy salad.

Combine tea and salad
Dandelion tea acts as a diuretic since it helps in removal of excess water from the body. Daily, for around six weeks, you should drink two cups of tea. Its effectiveness will be enhanced by eating a bowl of dandelion salad at least once a week, while you drink a tea. You can prepare tea by mixing a teaspoon of dried leaves, flowers and finely chopped roots. Place all this in a cup and pour over boiling water, cover it and let it stand for 20 minutes. Then strain the tea and sweeten it with a teaspoon of honey. Drink two to three cups of tea a day.

Dandelion salad
Wash and shred fresh dandelion leafs and place them in a bowl. Pour over olive oil, season it lightly with salt and a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon.

Fresh juice made of dandelion
Dandelion juice is used to relieve stomach problems, and the best results are obtained from freshly squeezed juice. Juice can be made by a combination of leaves and roots that can be squeezed. To prepare the juice pour two teaspoons of the resulting juice into a glass of milk, sweeten with a honey and drink the juice in the morning on an empty stomach for three weeks.

Dandelion syrup that strengthens the body
Syrup cleans blood vessels, regulates digestion and strengthens the body. Preparation is very simple. Boil two cups of dandelion flowers in two liters of water, strain it and add one kilogram of honey and the juice of two lemons. Cook the mixture over low heat with constant stirring until it becomes syrupy. Pour the syrup into the bottle and drink one tablespoon,  two or three times a day.
